Late 90's BM worship, but it's also a lil more than that. This album takes the best elements from the scene it's inspired by and mostly avoids the worst of it; the song-writing is well-written, it's performed with passion and fun, and the production is raw but isn't lo-fi. (i.e. it doesn't obfuscate and/or suckass). Tl;dr It's safe but high quality BM. Recommended.

Bought this for the logo art and stayed for the music. Yes, there's a fat SUMMONING-shaped elephant lurking these ruins, but that's more than fine with me: FC succeed in weaving a rich tapestry of lost grandeur, epic tales and the faint echoes of long-forgotten kingdoms. Good stuff.

A properly Black Metal album with an incredibly breathtaking 90's-arcade ass-kicking vibe. Synergizes extremely well between "Piercing Through the Frozen Eternity" and "Burning Embrace" for back-to-back listens; though I can appreciate why one would be preferred over the other.
